MSC Cruises will resume its operations from Spain from 06/26/2021

MSC Cruises announced today that it will resume its sailing operations in Spain with the departure of the MSC Grandiosa to Barcelona on June 26.

Valencia will be added as an additional port of call from July 30th.

This follows recent announcements by MSC to resume operations of its ships in Germany, France and the Baltics, in addition to current and other confirmed routes in summer 2021 in the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the UK.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said: “When we first announced our confirmed programs for summer 2021, we indicated that we would enrich them with any new ports and destinations as they became available. This is the case today with Spain and Barcelona, allowing our guests to visit this magnificent destination that has been inaccessible since March last year thanks to the safe shore excursions we are running in accordance with our health and safety protocol. It will also make international cruise holidays on MSC Cruises more accessible to more of our guests living in Spain, and for the first time on one of our most modern and innovative ships, MSC Grandiosa.

“As lockdowns across Europe and beyond gradually ease and tourism resumes, we are absolutely confident that our gradual resumption of services will continue and that we will be able to add more ports and destinations very soon from more countries to our routes. This will allow us to either enrich existing routes or add new ones.”

MSC Grandiosa offers seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises including Genoa, Civitavecchia/Rome, Naples, Palermo, Valletta in Malta and now Barcelona in Spain on Saturdays, calling at Italian ports as well as Barcelona.

Starting July 30, MSC Grandiosa will add Valencia to its itinerary with landings on Fridays, and the ship will then offer seven-night itineraries including Barcelona, Genoa, La Spezia to Florence and Pisa, as well as Civitavecchia/Rome and Valencia .
