MSC Cruises cancels calls to the port of St. Petersburg

MSC Cruises today announced that it has suspended its ships’ calls to St. Petersburg, Russia, due to recent events in the region and related safety concerns, according to a press release.
The company said the health and safety of its passengers and crew was its top priority, and that from late May to October its four ships that included a Russian port on any of their 2022 summer itineraries – MSC Preziosa, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Poesia and MSC Virtuosa – everyone will suspend visits to the Russian city.
The cruise line has contacted alternative ports such as Stockholm, Helsinki and Tallinn to confirm the four ships’ calls, and it will update travel agents with exact details for each individual cruise as soon as possible.
According to the press release, MSC Cruises will also update its website to reflect confirmed details of the new itineraries to provide maximum clarity for existing guests, as well as anyone looking to book a future seaside holiday to the Baltic Sea.
