The fourth Royal class liner of the Princess company was built at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri S.p.A in Monfalcone. Sky Princess departed on its first seven-day cruise from Athens to Barcelona on 20 October 2019.
Sky Princess 5* lux. has retained all the features that have become the hallmark of the company: a grand atrium with a huge variety of entertainment and cozy restaurants, a “cinema under the stars” and a “personal piece of the sea” ;nbsp;- all external cabins are equipped with a balcony. The company continued its commitment to innovation, adding even more new features to the new aircraft.
New category cabins suite with balcony – Sky Suite and Crown Sky Suite on the upper decks with panoramic views and the largest balconies of any ship.
The new Sky Suite cabins are located on the ship’s upper decks and have access to the largest private balconies Princess Cruises has ever offered. The balcony area is 65 sq. m., and they offer an excellent view of the “Under the Stars” cinema. These cabins offer stunning 270-degree panoramic views and can accommodate up to five people, making them ideal for family travel.
According to the company’s president, Jen Schwartz, with the creation of these two cabins, Princess Cruises aims to meet all the needs of guests who are accustomed to traveling the world in the highest comfort.
The ship’s inaugural cruise took place in October 2019. Sky Princess 5*lux NEW – combines all the main advantages of its “step-sisters” – Royal, Regal and Majestic Princess, along with its own additions that reflect the development of design.
New are additional “Wakeview” pools on the aft decks. Also, several deep pools, a relaxation pool and a jacuzzi have been added to the upper decks, from which there will be direct access to the pool.
There are twice as many private lounges in the “Sanctuary” area as on previous Princess flagships, with a new modern design.
The appearance of the “Vista Lounge” – the most popular bar on ships – has changed. A cafe has appeared in the “Princess live venue” – it is now possible to order coffee, tea and light snacks.
Indulge your appetite on board Princess. Chefs work hard every minute, frying, baking, boiling hundreds of dishes so that you can enjoy great food on board at any time. Princess Cruises offers a variety of on-board dining and buffet dining options to satisfy even the most discerning tastes.
Dinner on board Princess Cruises is always a joyful occasion, and the themed restaurants allow you to experience a new dining experience on board. The dishes in these restaurants are always prepared from the freshest ingredients, and the dishes themselves reflect the culinary preferences of different countries. Themed restaurants are the best place for special occasions on board.

On all voyages of 7 days or more, the Captain invites up to forty regular guests to the breakfast party. The guest list varies from trip to trip, and depending on the number of Elite and Platinum card holders on board, the event itself is very memorable for those invited. The chef is preparing a special menu for the above guests, and senior officers can also attend the event. And at the Cocktail Party for regular guests, the three most frequent travelers are given a crystal with a picture of their route, as well as a bottle of champagne. Collect stamps! Each trip, cruisers receive exclusive stamps from the region they visit.
