Spanish actress and model Penelope Cruz became the godmother of the new liner. The movie star cut the ribbon and, according to tradition, broke a bottle of champagne on the side. Guests enjoyed a rich entertainment program reflecting the style of this liner.
Italian chef Bruno Barbieri, owner of 7 Mechelin stars, presented a signature cocktail created especially for the celebrations. The event also featured the Dream aromatic show with the world’s best acrobats, created by Viktor Klee and staged in the Colosseum Theater located in the center of the ship. The celebration ended with a massive fireworks display that lit up the sky over Savona and created a fitting backdrop for the new liner.

As market leaders in Europe, we are committed to being the first to embrace environmental innovation,” said Michael Tamm, CEO of the Costa Group, at the ceremony.
